Tried unsuccessfully with and without Firewall (not Norton) but it did not work. Did anyone encounter that type of problem with ver 2.654?....And solved it? I like solutions!

And if you never had that problem with any games and you don't have a router, what do you do?

>you'll notice in my screens below that under setup my subset is 255.255.255.0, yet in the status it's 255.255.252.0 ANYONE I think I can answer that bit at least. The subnet mask value is sort of like a filter. The DHCP server of your internet provider (the thing your router is talking to, in terms of getting its external IP address) is configuring your router with that mask. A value of: 255.255.252.0 ..allows for four subnet IP's to be issued. Each number (255) represents a cascading subnet filter in binary, i.e. that number is really seen as: 11111111.11111111.11111100.00000000 So you can see two '0's on the end of the 3rd grouping, which means '11' (or up to four in decimal) can be allowed through in that part of the subnet (up to 1024 individual IP's) Unfortunately, that's not much to do with why the game isn't working. Your internal sub-net mask of 255.255.255.0 is fine If you try something like a port scanner, no ports on the PC are exposed even though it's in the DMZ? https://www.grc.com/x/ne.dll?bh0bkyd2Maybe try 'all service ports' or the user specified for SBPro?

Hey Magnum, it is hard to see even when making the screenshot big it really is NOT much bigger and hard to see the numbers.. Yes, Magnum tried PFPort checker and tested port 2300 it cam back closed we also tried a few other ports ALL where closed..Those Online port checkers need to have the Game running in Online mode to work correctly.. EDIT: MAgnum I think I figured it out if this is it i'm a dumbass.. Well look here,, http://screenshots.portforward.com/routers/Linksys/WRT610Nv2/Management.htm .....Do You have UPnP Enabled?? IF so that is problly why the DMZ is not working.. if it is NOT Disabled it try disabling UPnP it and check the DMZ again it should now be working.. test any port after you reset the DMZ with PF Port checker..remember when you disable UPnp you are going to have to setup port forwarding for all your devices that need it. Remember I mentioned UPnP but at the time it did not click but just did so my fingers are crossed..

Well what was the solution?? Remember those ONLINE port checkers you need to have the Sim running in ONLINE Mode.. Best to use PFPort checker..or have the game you want to test running as a host or join a game online

No, we haven't got around to setting up some sort of a game broker institution. Then again, Steel Beasts multiplayer is ALL about coordinated team effort, so it makes sense to organize game sessions as scheduled events (like the weekly "Tank God it's Friday" TGIF sessions, or the near-daily sessions of the German community, etc.). Typically you meet in the TeamSpeak chat room, then start the session as soon as enough players are around.
You may also want to visit the Multiplayer board at the SteelBeasts.com forum, or check out the current "Red Tide" campaign (I'm sure, additional players will be accepted at least on the Friday battles).
