Browsing the USS Midway yesterday, saw a lot of interesting things but one thing caught my attention the most.

I really wanted to see what skills the guy had, but I wasn't wanting to wait in line.

I was just there last week after Comic Con.

Unless I read it wrong, you could not engage other players in air combat.

I met this kamikaze killer...

And this Wookie hunter... smile

Well they were shooting each other down. Or at least the guy with the X52 was picking off the poor souls in the simulators.

Bah! Had I seen that I might have jumped in.

Make it to the San Diego Aviation Museum in Balboa Park to see Duke Cunningham's F-4?

Oh and thanks Panther for the interesting pic.

I used to live in downtown, and the Midway Museum and the park around there were on my regular running route. Did you get a chance to check out the Maritime Museum too? I know the just added the Dolphin there a couple of years ago.

My wife and I tried that combat simulator when we were there a few years ago. It was OK. Horrible graphics (something like MS CFS II). I smoked everyone else in there (4 or 5 other people). I didn't see the guy running it do too much when I was in line. There wasn't anything he needed a HOTAS for. He could have gotten away with a 2 axis, 2 button joystick from 1990.

The only cool think about it was sitting in a mock F-8 cockpit.
