I usually only use the map and gunner position... but I was exploring the TC position for a change, I hit B to un-button and button up, i hear it open and close but how do you move your TC up so I could scan the landscape?

I was looking for the command in the control options when I noticed other controls like Alternate views Alt F1-F4, and Hover view, Shift F8? Is that for helicopters? because they did nothing for me in tank.

Thx

Q - raises the TC's point of view up and Z - lowers it.

as for Shift + F8, some of the keyboard settings only work in the Pro version.

And you don't need to unbutton before using Q - this is done if required as part of the action of going up.

I think that umbrella hatches (like on the M1A1, CV90, and the Israeli Urdan Cupola) will give overhead protection while in the first stage of raising, and will fully open with additional height (or IIRC, if unbuttoned manually).

To return to the open-protected (again IIRC) requires buttoning up, and then raising to the first position.

Some of the alternate views are mapped to the Alt-View keys - these include the x1 GPS overview sight on the M1A1, and some of the GAS/Direct View/Reserve Camera modes of the IFV. You really need to check each vehicle (and position: Co, Gun, Driver, Pax) with each of the view options to get an idea of what each sensor suite contains - also note that the MFD of the CV90 gives views of pretty much any sensor around the vehicle to each of the equipped crew on those models so supplied.

I can't actually recall all those which did have alternate modes though, and I'm now out of date.
