The info for the server says it'll be up after the Indycar races on the 29th... But there's practice races on the 28th?

I'm guessing the server will run on Charade for a brief period starting at 11 AM, then revert back to IndyCar for the duration.

Haha, I even asked where you were, but then remembered you were up unitl after 04:00 the night before so I knew...lol.

I'm in the same boat as Kurt...I forgot to check what all we were running Saturday, so I hopped in in time for the IndyCars. Totally missed the 71F1 stuff...and if I remember right, Charade IS a good track...doh!

I actually like this track a lot. The challenge lies in aiming the car at blind apexes from memory. At first it was frustrating, but with practice it got easier.
Tried Arthur's set up, but the BRM and/or my driving style are not quite a match. Had an encouraging session on Wednesday; hope the trend continues tomorrow charge

No practice at all on this track, been busy with other racing stuff so the plate's kind of full. I just tried to run a slow lap to get to know the track and ended up in the grass every other corner. Nah, not for me.

I'm going to cut my grass for three hours Saturday in the blazing heat and humidity...it needs it anyway. wink

Keep in mind this won't be one race guys. If you trash the car in a race you get other chances.

3 lap race
10 lap race
20 lap race

What do you mean "a race"? Hell, I was planning on trashing cars in all three. biggrin

3-laps race : pole in 1:46.7, win, Frank stole my best lap with a 1:47.0 if I recall well.

10-laps race : pole in 1:47.0, win, best lap in 1:47.0

20-laps race : pole in 1:46.6 (only one tenth faster than Darren), ... disconnect when leading a confortable gap frown

But hey... I love these cars ! biggrin

Well, that was much more fun than expected for me! smile The track, it is a love/hate track for me - it surely is exciting, but more often than not just too exciting.

Best part that I could keep up with Jason the more practice I got here. That my engine blew during the last race can happen, it doesn't anger me at all unlike a disconnection (which don't happen as often anymore since I put in an Intel NIC - curse you, Realtek!). At least I managed to get an 1:51.7 in the end, which was unthinkable of before the race.

Was hoping for at least a second place in one of the heats, but two more podiums ain't bad winkngrin

Had a lot of fun dicing with Purolator in the second and third race. Hope this isn't the last F171 race we do this year.

Congrats to Arthur and Frank on great drives smile

Next F1 Classics event will be the CTDP 2006 cars at Silverstone. It'll be an October thing to offer people who don't have GTR2 an alternative.
