Hi Matt,
Thank you for the genuine concern. Our v1 feature set has solidified (mine ops was the last major unfinished bit) and we are currently gearing up for the initial release by reducing the pace of "new stuff" additions and focusing more on content generation (DBs, scenarios etc.) and polishing the user experience. It's a balancing act and one in which you can never be 100% certain you have made all the right decisions. Overall, I'm happy to say that we are extremely pleased with what we have put together so far and in fact we have already absorbed quite a few community suggestions here and there (and also added a ton of them to the vNext punchstack).
As far as interest on the game is concerned, you might be surprised at some of the attention we have received - both from the civilian/consumer sector and other parties. This has been highly encouraging for us considering that so far we haven't spent a single dollar on PR/advertisement.
On the v1 release schedule, we will probably have an announcement on our publishing strategy very soon. Can't get into more details on that front for reasons that you probably understand. What I can say is that if you like what we have been showing so far, you will probably like this too.
We realize that we have been somewhat secretive on our development roadmap & release prospects (though our
Build Roll thread has helped a lot with this) but we have seen enough brilliant projects failing before us that we have tended to err on the side of caution. As we near towards our v1 release and beyond, you are going to see quite a bit more of our development process and get a better understanding of how we actively engage the community (both on public forums and elsewhere) to get the feedback we need in order to continuously improve Command.
Again, thanks for the kind words.
