Instead of binding my TrackIR's "Z" axis (forwards and backwards - towards/away from screen) to move my head forward an backward inside the cockpit, i've assigned it to "Zoom View". So if i lean towards the instrument panel, and slightly over to the side of the MFCD i'm looking at, i can fill my monitor with the MFCD screen, and i can come away from it, returning to a normal view, just by sitting back in my chair again.

^^^ Now that is pretty interesting, Chris

---

If I Center my Track IR when I lean way in, then I get a big wide angle fish-eye view when I sit normally. And Centering waay out from a normal sitting position will give a close up view at the normal sitting position. I don't do that for normal flying - I like my regular settings and sitting position.

5 days tc

hee hee If I have a regular ball cap on I will sit down to fly and wonder why my Track IR doesn't work. I can't leave home w/o it.

I will say too that my Track IR profile accommodates my bifocals.

I wonder if it would be good (or even possible) to have a shifted axis on TrackIR. Unshifted it could move your head in the cockpit and shifted it could handle field of view. I'll have to try that. Thanks for the idea.

Bwahaha thanks WC! I'll have to try that trick Chris mentioned, now that I'm thinking of the YouTube vids I've seen, I think they had zoom tied to fwd/back head movement too.

Might be the 24th Crew, wife and I are headed from here to a New England tour tomorrow, several days of questionable food/beer tastes, wooooo USA! Can't wait, we launch in the AM for Maine, NH, Mass, Ct and RI.

Ice- I like the options of displaying the MFCDs on the lower left and right of the screen. It looks like I have to edit something to my game. If this is true, is it reversable? Is it as siple as adding what you have above into my folder then "bam" it will be there next time I play. I am playing with a single 24" monitor and track IR 4.

I would think that Track IR can use shifted switch inputs.

What I would really like from Track IR is to use two or more choices for control of Pause and Center. I want to be able to assign keyboard keys and/or mouse buttons and/or throttle & stick buttons so that if my hand is on the mouse I can use that vs if i'm on the stick I can use that. Ha, just sent Natural Point this suggestion.

I wish an interrupted TrackIR track would take on a (0,0,0,0,0,0) value instead of the last value when it lost track. That way if you dropped your hat you could at least look straight ahead.

Also I just realized a limitation of DCS World, because all the controls are unified I cannot have a joystick button be a modifier for Ka-50 and a normal button for A-10. If you get "BUTTON 04" as a shift then it's a shift for everything and cant' be used standalone for a specific module.
