Never had issues before with wierd software protection schemes.....I am now however. UGH! darkcloud What is this silliness about hardware code being wrong? I guess my SN is good as I have been using it quite awhile now. Don't tell be I have to go thru crap because I installed a wacom tablet. cuss2

Great.........I bet it will do the same with a10 as well.

Well I am truelly confussed now..... My SN is good......my hardware code is BAD......but I can play single player....

Don't tell me starforce binds ip range into hardware code. That would totally retarded. Which tells me they do. Ya 2 moves in the past 2 years..... Much more likly than installing an itty bitty piece of hardware. If that is the case WTF where they thinking doing that. So my guess now is single will work and multi will not? Does not really matter about the multi as am on a crap satelite internet. 800 ms ping time on a good day means no fly fly for me online. But when I move yet again...........Ugh. WHATEVER.

? I'm not sure what you mean by "hardware bad", but if the error you're getting in multiplayer is "Invalid Serial Number", check this link out: http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/3606485/Serial_Number_Management_or_Ho.html#Post3606485

Star force activation error. My SN says good. Their hardware side does not jive with older system config I guess. Really makes little sence to me. Never had an issue like this one before. However if it ends up being a multi player issue I will worry about that later. Unless it ends up causing errors over a LAN than is.

Well checked account......last authorized today? DCS login. But star force gives crazy error? Hmmmmkkkkk............... Yep......all good on DCS side of the coin.

Well off to create a support ticket. Hope it is nothing I did on my end.

If by IP range you mean your IP number/locale, no. If so, I'd have been boned since I use two different cellular connections and the IP's I get assigned have me "geographically" placed all over the country even when I'm at home.

These are the criteria:

Note that virtual machines can theoretically confuse the system.

Might be incorrect installer as well, have you tried the other one? You can remove the Ka-50 folder from the Mods subdirectory inside world and install the other one - though you should also be able to just doublecheck the exact name of your installer if you still have it on hand.

The upgrade version is:

KA-50_bsupd_1.2.0.63205.exe

The standalone version is:
KA-50_1.2.0.63205.exe

Note the "bsupd" in the installer name for the upgrade installer.

This is probably what is it the problem I hope. Using the update bs and downloaded the regular. Did not even see that. However on that front I get the you must install and activate BS1. Ugh. So downloaded BS1 again.

As far as system changes......perhaps mother board after the 1st one had a capacitor explode. Oh and I added more ram like a year ago. However all this was done before I got the upgrade (around when I purchased BS1). eek2 Having hardware changes on reactivation is pretty stupid IMO. Why is SN bound to a player profile not enough? Even comercial high end software does not go that far........well what I have used. Usually sn code and account.

The quest for working BS2 in DCS world contiues........ skyisfalling

Ok resolved..........took your sugestion.....deleted out bs2 from DSC world. Installed correct (DOH!) installer. And reinstalled bs1 and activated. Unsure which of these did it....or all. But seems to be good now. biggrin

Glad yours is working. I own BS1, so I bought the BS2 upgrade. Everything successfully installed and BS2 multiplayer starts right up. I have not flown any missions though. I downloaded the BS2 Upgrade 1.2.0 module and installed it. Now when running DCS World Multiplayer, I'm asked to enter my serial number. I do this and it tells me my hardware code is bad, and that I should generate a new hardware code. How is this done? I also read several months back that the BS2 upgrade version serial key would not work in DCS World just yet, only the full BS2 standalone version would work. Has this been resolved? I just want to get BS2 working in DCS World. I have a key for the boxed version of BS1 and I have a key for the upgrade to BS2. Why won't this work?
Thanks all,
Uncle

UPDATE: All is working OK. Somehow the download link gave me the wrong file. Once I figured that out, re-installed, and all works great.
