I've Updated all my modules to V1.2 in DCS World and I understand that I can now delete my V1.1 installs. The question I have is what method do I use? I read somewhaere about shared registry entries or something of the sort.

So, my concern is if I uninstall V1.1 using the uninstall software will it affect the registry or does the registry remain intact for v1.2?

Should I just navigate to the old directories and just delete the folders or is this a bad move?

Regarding Black Shark, I went the BS2 upgrade route. So, can I now delete BS1 or will I need it for future updates? I noticed that BS2 V1.2 update did not seem to require BS1 but I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Now that everything is integrated into the DCS World module, I would like to reclaim some HD space.

Please advise. Thanks...

From the DCS forum"

DCS Product Installation

1- Uninstall all previous DCS products prior to versions 1.2.0
2- To be safe, delete \Saved Games\DCS files
3- Install DCS World 1.2.0
4- Install each new DCS module (1.2.0 or latest Beta version)

Hi Talon,

As far as I'm aware DCS World 1.2.0 and its 1.2.0 modules are completely seperate from any standalone versions ie 1.1.1.1

Thanks for the infor guys. I understand that 1.2 is separate, but I am still concerned about the BS2 upgrade version. I guess all is well once the software verifies my activation key. Well, I'm going to assume as much. If all else fails, I'll just go through the install procedures from the start.

You don't have to have BS1 installed to play BS2. If, later, you decide to uninstall and then reinstall BS2, you will need to install BS1 first. On the other hand, if you leave your BS1 installation alone, it won't affect your BS2 play.
