Who's with me on this? Would be awesome to see a "reboot" of this movie, as it seems "Rebooting" a movie is all the rage these days.

I'd rather see reboots of movies where the source material was good but the adaption crappy. I'd call it "retry", though.

According to a T.V. program its about money. The casting departments re cast the actors with popular locals add a few different details. This finish product is given to the producers who can get loans for the film ( it work one time so why not again No book costs no major script changes) For example, Red Dawn was remade in Australia ( a day later ?) and did very well in that area the released woldwide ( I saw it on Cable last night this time Its mostly women in lead roles. also, they are still alive at the end and instead of Cubans working for Russians. It was Asians. I heard that the Hollywood people are remaking it with a few add ons like Korea invades and really shoots up the place. Total Recall is another except he doesnt get his ass to Mars

I thought they already remade "Logan's Run", called "The Island"? Ok, not exactly the same.
It's a better idea than Judge Dredd!

No, "The Island" was a remake of this film, http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0078062/

I actually wouldn't mind a remake of this since in my opinion, "Logan's Run" hasn't aged very well. Between the ABBA-like costumes and the uber 70's hair and cheesy acting, I think this sci-fi film is a prime candidate for a remake.

I agree, it is a great story with ropey as hell special effects. A well done remake would be something I'd love to see. Don't think they'd be able to top Peter Ustinovs old 'cat man' scene though. http://m.youtube.com/watch?gl=US&hl=en-GB&client=mv-google&v=sax6J8n1AiE

I think that a remake of LR has been announced: Ryan Gosling again with Nicolas Winding Refn as a director. I find "Drive" one of the best movies of recent years so looking forward to this. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0402344/

Silent Running would be a good remake if done properly.
