Ah no, a common misconception about WD40.

WD40 stands for "water displace" 40 attempt at the formula, is not a lubricant but it leaves a thin lubricant film on some surfaces, is perfect for key locks but i don't recommend it for any other use

Great for cleaning bike chains but I tend to use something like Tri-Flow or actual grease. I think most regular users of the Warthog would never need to grease their stick so its a non issue! AND DONT EVER USE WD40 NEAR ELECTRONICS LOL!!!! Actually don't use it at all..

I hear WD40 will remove spray paint from cars...

I have two Warthogs and both get used a lot, the one on my machine is getting prolly +15 hours a week since November 2010. No issues, except a very slight twang from the center spring on my stick that I sometimes notice. Maybe I should grease it... but it would be a big deal to disassemble my flight deck... Next week I should pick up my Procrastinator's Club card - I'll grease it right after that. biggrin

If you are flying the A-10C then the Warthog is the stick to have.
