Yes, that's right. Not only can you now see your pilot in OFFbase, thanks to a custom vector-based bilinear-sampling image renderer, but you can also change your pilot's photo when you rank up. No fiddling with image files, renaming dossiers or logs, changing XML data--the OFFice incomplete campaign editor takes care of all that crap for you.

And you can also edit your background info, with much more room including paragraphs, to keep track of his exploits and injuries. So show off your pilot.

But it's not just you! Yes that's right, you'll see who you encounter, and watch your fellows encounter each other in glorious low-definition 2D black and white!


So go get OFFbase 0.8.1. It's up on CA now, and hopefully soon at SimHQ as well. If you haven't played it before, and even if you have, you're about to get a lot closer to your squadmates. And there are more surprises in store as well...

I have hundreds of pictures of WWI Aviators if you need any...

Looks really good. Unfortunately, even though I've installed as directed (I think),
it hangs while "simulating RFC-1"......it just stops working. What's supposed to
happen and why isn't it, do you think?

update: it seems to hang at "cannot access CustomSkinsOFF in path offsettings\CustomSkinsOFF
(I don't seem to have that path or folder)

igor7111, are you running without Hat in the Ring? That might be it. Let me know if that's the case and I'll see if I can disable the custom skin stuff if you don't have HitR.

Seriously, elephant? That would be amazing. There's no reason NPCs should be bound to the 100 pilot photos like your fellow is, and some of those stock photos--the lowest quality ones--could be replaced.

Version 0.8.2 which fixes this problem and a couple others for those without Hat in the Ring is now up at Combat Ace. Fixes a couple other small issues so everyone should go get it. Hopefully it'll find its way to SimHQ soon as well.

Thanks to guod, 0.8.2 is now up on SimHQ so the link in my signature is good. Also in SimHQ's OFF downloads you'll find a repacked version of RAF_Louvert's New Medal Mod, compatible with OFFice.

Installed version 0.8.2 and it seemed to be working, had some encounters with squadmates etc.,
way cool by the way, but when I went to fly a mission, the program hung again. I do have
HITR installed but I still don't see a skins folder.... here's the rebol:
