I know there's some motorcycle racing fans around here and I hadn't seen a mention of this...

GP Bikes Demo Available

Features:
- automotive industry-standard tyre model
- dynamic track surface groove buildup
- wet track simulation and dynamic drying
- dynamic marbles generation
- tyres pickup of marbles, grass and dirt, affecting grip
- output of CSV files with telemetry data to analyze riding sessions
- a plugins interface allows external programs to receive realtime data from the simulated bike
- LAN and online racing. Dedicated server available
- advanced users can build new tracks and integrate them with the provided tools

Not sure how it would work with a standard wheel, but I do know that MotoGP's one of the best racing series to watch, excitement wise.

I've been aware of the GP Bikes site for a year or two... reason I've never mentioned or tried it is that it seems too empty at current time to be an enjoyable experience. Supposedly the simulation and especially configuration/controller options beat SBK-X or MotoGP series by far (TrackIR support and such). But with only one track, no AI, no qualifying or such, it's a "driving simulator" mostly.

BTW, triggered by this thread I went to look for a more current motorbike title than my SBK-X, and I found that SBK Generations is now available. It offers the SBK 09-12 seasons, SSP 09-11 seasons and STK 09-10. As well as the "Legends" class, and 15 tracks (including Kyalami and Losail which are not on current calendar).

Lots of motorbike race sim for just 20EUR, and of course the option to play a true multi-season career mode is kinda cool.
