Hi Argon,
So where did you get your DX installer from?
Cheers.

So why does this work? What does following these steps do to increase fps? Does it update your DirectX or what?

Sounds like it resets your DX settings, then syncs the game DX setting to line up with your comps settings better.
Sort of makes sense; as someone on here mentioned earlier RoF does this with DX every patch.

Amazing that a simple thing like reinstalling silverlight and dx9 could help so much, but great if it does!

It's not Silverlight, it's the .Net Client profile you repair. Re-Installing DX after the .Net Client profile repair probably syncs back up file revisions.

When you're logged into SimHQ, you can download the "Direct X9 June 2010 Redist" from here:
http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/3555696/Direct_X9_June_2010_Redist.html

Good idea to use it early and often when installing sims.

Me either, and I didn't have problems with 2-3 planes in the air, more like when there were 25-30 planes within 5kms of me. These tweaks didn't seem to help that, I think its more a hardware/coding problem.

Didn't hurt any either though smile
