Thank you all for your kind words! Yes, being July it was a blustery -2$W below zero Celcius (too cold for regular old fashioned decimal numbers) and there was blowing snow with drifts as high as four metres! Ahh summer!

Hehehe. What is this "summer", of which yee speak?

This is what we had in Newcastle a few days ago......

Never seen anything like it, unprecedented....and just came out of nowhere. There was a 'twister' type Tornado in Lincolnshire too apparently. I was one of the lucky ones and got away with it, still affected though not as bad. Got a little damage to some flooring but minor and nowt that can't be fixed easy. Some poor buggers lost everything. One the bright side though, there were some daft b*stards canoeing and kayaking through the streets lol, with impromptu renditions of "singing in the rain" which was amusing. We do like a good party up here....rain or shine. smile

Nothing compared to what you can get in the States etc of course, (one person died in the floods though sadly out in the Sticks, quite a few injured as well) but its crazy for us because we never get weather like this normally, unheard of. I see there were bad fires in the States recently too.....the world is going mad. screwy

Skipped fireworks this year - you've seen them once, you've seen them a hundred times, I say. Had a homebrew and grilled some steaks instead. A nice day smile

9 months of winter and 3 months of bad tobogganing? Cold sounds good right now.
