That's a little late for me but, it would not be the first time this game made me stay up too late and I love rescue missions. I'll gladly help out if I am on.

Moose, I put the Barret in our tent, and someone else exchanged it for an M24...sorry. I'll go heli hunting again and look for another.

Sorry, that was me. Last night when you guys logged for a bit I made my way to the tent and added my M24 for the 107. Also added an M16A2 and some Stanag clips. I actually liked the M24 as it seemed less cumbersome and not a huge lighting rod on my nack like the 107. Still, if you want the M24 its in the tent. Could possibly even swap if we meet as I do not mind the M24. Plus you can take DMR mags and break them down for ammo.

I made my first trip to Berezino today. Started up from my spawn in a barn in Staroye and had an uneventful jog up through the hills navigating the last part by keeping a slight ocean sound to the right. That's a nice touch. Got into Berezino ok and found the apartment buildings in the screenshots above. Managed to get in undetected but then the game went all Arma on me and I made some kind of skip hop thing when entering a flat. Needless to say I got the local residents all fired up and I spent a good terrifying while holed up in an apartment just waiting for the dumb zeds to claw their way through the walls. Eventually they all got the good news Lee Enfield style and all is well. Found a new backpack which was nice. Picking it up, the old one seemed to disappear along with all my stuff so that's something for the lessons learned in Cherno-book. After a few hours of sneaking around I must say my nerves are shot. I thank myself for having the presence of mind to get some beer today. I need one badly.

Found a tent but it didn't fit my backpack so I guess that's something I have to tinker with later on. A nice camp would really hit the spot if I could find some matches. I could totally see myself having a coke, steak in front of a nice fire later on.

I look forward to the ARMA3 version of this thing a lot.

It can definitely be a pain when things get buggy. Next time, drop your existing backpack on the floor first then pick up the new one and loot your gear off of the old one. Whenever you swap for something, always drop what you have first. If you use the mouse wheel suggestion, exchange X for X, the first item will disappear into thin air.

PS. Ironic that I wrote this yesterday as I had a Bizon poof from my pack last night...

The bizon is such a nice gun, silent with large mags. Really good tool for raiding without attracting too much trouble. Bummer to lose it.

I did some looting of a store today and somehow all my 6 packs of lee enfield ammo got lost. I was trying to move some stuff around to get enough free primary slots for a tent but somehow I managed mess it up. The zeds were gathering outside but I found a revolver which eased my mind. A while later I put all my stuff on the floor of a house to get things organised. All of a sudden I hear shotgun blasts and running outside. It was a frantic few minutes before everything was back in the pack. The shooters skipped my little house which was lucky for them. Anyone going loud through a town is not on my ask first list. I made a clean escape and I'm now holed up in the woods looking for some game to hunt.

Trying to get my son setup on the server...he gets a little bit of vertigo as do I when playing ARMA in the FPS view mode. So he may not stick it out on the hardcore server since he can't find a way to change the view to a 3rd person view which we prefer. Anyway his computer isn't quite as good as mine so he may have to run TS off his Samsung Android Galaxy Tab 2 10.1. It gets a little wonky if the power level goes down below 50% when he is listening to music and I think that is what was happening earlier.

Happens to me too when I get a new game but after a day or so I adjust and it no longer bothers me.

If you are like me, it only gets bad when you are indoors. Stay outside and I am fine.
