Was on our favorite Hardcore server this morning before work, and within 2 minutes had stumbled upon another heli wreck. I logged off to prepare for work, and came back about 45 minutes later for a quickie (please hold the jokes).... Anyway, I went to check on the heli again from the treeline and lo and behold, there were 3 guys looting it with their red junk car next to it. I was well concealed, so I decided to take them out. Unfortunately, there must have been a graphics glitch because I proceeded to shoot up the tree limb I was hiding behind instead of the targets. After wasting half a magazine and not hitting anyone, I decided to beat feet before the guy with the M24 on his back spotted me. I withdrew into the forest hoping to drag them in there and take them out with thermals. They didn't bite, and instead went and raided a nearby deerstand. By the time I moved back into position, they had moved on. If there had been a proper SimHQ crew, we would now be in possession of a slow but mobile storage site for our gear....oh well, at least we now know a red car with a 3-man crew grazes in OUR Altar fields on our hardcore server.

P.S. They didn't get squat off that heli site. I forgot to mention that I took an M107 Barret with 3 mags and all the Bison mags (4 of them) from the site. They may have gotten an FN FAL and 2 Bisons with no mags, and a bandage. The Barret and all mags are in my backpack and are free to a good home, first come, first served.

Why didn't you car jack them? lol

They had the car right next to the heli to transfer loot, so sneaking to it was out of the question. Figured I could get the drop on them and take them all out before they located me, but it didn't work out so well...oh well.

yo jeff, if no one claims that m107 i would die for it. been looking for a sniper rifle for a while

i ended up buying it last night after you guys logged. i tried to sit and wait for someone to come along for that heli site we had came across that had already been worked over - well, sure enough, the uaz (which was simhqs i think) comes along and two guys get out. one in camo gear, the other in ghille. well, the guy in ghille somehow sees me prone under some trees and one shots me. ugh. pretty sure he had a 107, it was a loud SOB. might have been that guy who bagged a couple of you guys earlier.

i wish i had a proper rifle to take that him out!

i spawned in cherno and managed to equip myself decently enough but it stinks playing alone

ps. will trade you a camping tent for it

im logged out near berezino. just did a night run and came up empty and had to run away after hearing shots. i miss having that thermal cover

I hope we get lucky soon and pick up a 2nd L85. Those are probably the most valuable item in game.

Moose, I put the Barret in our tent, and someone else exchanged it for an M24...sorry. I'll go heli hunting again and look for another.

aack, i miss 1 night and now we have a tent ! WOOT

I will be on tonight to go hunting about with the gang and i look forward to finding a L85 and some SD stang clips :}

I also love the addition of the tent and think we should get at least 1 in each of our regular haunts. BTW please don't put the server names in your posts gents, intel sneaks about these parts.

Ugh. Requesting medical assistance west of Berezino. Was approaching the tents when a server hopper popped up in front of me with an M9SD equipped. He started firing at me and I put three into him with my AK, but then a horde of z's came and chased me away. Saw him disconnect right after. Z's managed to catch me and broke my leg before I fought them off. I crawled back to where I dropped the guy but it just said "dead body" and did not let me loot.

Will be on around 11:30-11:45pm EST tonight, hopefully you guys are operating in the Bere area at that time.
