Dear ROF Pilots,

You are invited to join me on Sunday, July 1, 2012 beginning at 12:00AM Pacific Time as I fly 18 HOURS TO VICTORY!

In celebration of ROF's 3rd Anniversary and the triumphant release of version 1.026 I will attempt a marathon flight-simming session and fly ROF online for 18 straight hours straight (minus bathroom and snack breaks). I never get enough stick time online with the community due to work and beta testing, so I figured this weekend would be a great time to go for the gold! smile2

I will be on the ROF Teamspeak server all day Sunday cruising the skies of all the fun ROF multiplay servers. It will be a blast. Let's practice some teamwork and put ROF MP through it's paces! So, grab a wingy and let's have some fun.

You don't need to be outside in the sunshine this Sunday, picnics are overrated, you need to be indoors playing ROF with me.

See you on the skies this Sunday! cheers

Jason

P.S. I shoot to kill. ar15

UTC/GMT/Zulu - 07:00 hours Sun.

It's been a while since I fired up RoF mp, but it would be quite rude not to show some support for all the terrific work you've done with RoF, so count me in!
I'll see you at 12am PST on Sunday (actually, since I'm in Hawaii, It'll be Saturday night 9pm for me...just will need to keep the wife busy smile
See you then Jason!

Can't wait to shoot you down for not being part of the WWII sim genre, we could really use your help 20 some odd years later (timeline speaking of course!)

~S! Great update!

Ahhhhh! Cheese! Your comment opened a temporal vortex in my computer room and I was sucked back to 1917/43. It was awkward. skullhead

On topic, this sounds like a great opportunity for a fairly fresh recruit to get up in a flight of veterans to help show the way. I'll have to see if I can scrounge up a mike and get voice ops going. If not I hope to take part in some good scrums to come.

Thanks everyone who came out to fly with me today. I sampled Oceanic, Syndicate and New Wings servers for several hours each and all were great fun. #1 way to die is fly alone. Teamwork is critical.

I didn't make it the full 18 hours. I failed to get enough sleep the day before so I was hurting very quickly, but I flew for 14.5 hours out of the 18 I wanted. Great fun and nice to catch up with some of you old timers and geat to meet some of you newer players.

ROF MP has never been better with the latest changes and Field Mods. The extra weight and drag really shows why some of these mods were not adopted, but some are outstanding.

Thanks again to all who took the time to fly with me today! Had a blast.

:S!:

Glad to hear you had fun, Jason! That was a great idea. I hope you'll find the time to get online and fly with us again soon, even if it's only for 12 hours or so, hehe.

The way you and the other devs make the effort to actively interact with the ROF community is a big part of what has made it so loyal and tight-knit. Thanks so much for your efforts in that regard - and, of course, for producing and continuously improving this great sim.
