Beta should start after gamescom (8/15-19/2012).

I am pretty excited about it as well. I can not wait to get my hands on the new mod tools since it now allows tunnels and underground structures.

I am not too thrilled about the 2030 timeline but I dont think it will be a huge turnoff.

Yeah looking forward to this, and I actually don't mind the 2030 timeframe as long as it doesn't go all "Predator" sensors like the latest Ghost Recon title, so far I haven't seen any of that type of unrealistic spot the enemy despite cover stuff in any of the previews.

Screw BF3, this is the game to have. I don't care if it mercilessly kills me every time I fire it up, that just looks awesome.

And from what I understand, this is their most casual player-friendly game, but is still geared toward the hardcore grognards it was meant and intended for.

This and Warfighter are day one purchases for me.

Used to be all for buying A3 but in all honesty, this is not far from Arrowhead and considering top quality addons/mods nowadays are released as seperate games (IFL44) I'm not so sure anymore.
Bleh.

The core engine changes alone will allow for amazing mods that are far from possible with arma2oa.

I generally hate "future" games, but that looks close enough to present day not to worry me. Can't wait to try it out.
