The Chaff's buttons are not working, I suspect it is a loose cable since everything else works fine.

I would be a nightmare sent the throttle to repair from my country. I will prefer to try to fix it myself. It will void the warranty? How hard is to dissemble the throttle? If anyone has had a similar problem I will appreciate his advise.

Thanks.

Er, what is the chaff button? At first I thought this would be the CMS hat (gray thumb hat) on the stick but then you mention throttle....

Oh, you mean the China Hat.

So, how exactly have you verified it is not working? Which tools have you used? Have you tried the device analyzer in the Script Editor? Are you using the WH as individual stick and throttle or have you combined them into one virtual controller? What sim are you using your WH for?

Open a support ticket with Thrustmaster. I had a problem with the china hat sticking and they sent me a replacement assembly. If the switch is bad then it should be a very easy fix.

Thanks for the help.

Win7 Device Manager shows OK. The same for the Game Controllers. TM Device analyzer don't show the buttons pressed and if I program a key to these buttons the key is not fired.

@Lucky,

I am a little worried the throttle's innards are a tangle of wires. How do you find it?. With luck it is only a loose cable. I hope I won't void the warranty.

To avoid any warranty issues, open a support ticket with Thrustmaster.

Yep, if you verified 100% that it is not working, contact TM. They might send you the new part or have you send the throttle back, unfortunately.

ThrustMaster will have you troubleshoot the problem then determine what needs to be done. Either you'll have to send the throttle in to be fixed or they could send you a replacement assembly like the picture below. This is what they sent me. It was real easy to install.
