I am getting consistent "file corrupted" copy errors when attempting to install OFF. Do I need a new OFF DVD or what?
Thanks for any help.

Hi, Ronzito

Which version of OFF are you trying to install? I assume the "Phase 3"?

Here is the link to the install guidance in the official OFF website.

http://overflandersfields.com/FAQ.htm#Installation_and_settings

When do your problems come up?
Right after starting the install - or later?
How does your DVD look - is it scratched?
Fingerprints make often big problems - you could clean it and try again?

Olham, many thanx for your reply. I had assumed that because the DVD was (should be!) new that it was Ok, but when I turned it over I found a smear of gunk that I cleaned off and also some obvious scratches. So I tried again and the install went a little further but hung up again, so I'm assuming that it's the scratches and that I need a new disc. I guess I check the FAQ's to see whom I should contact--thanx again!

And please check the FAQs about the correct version of CFS3 too.
If you have an older version, I believe to remember, that it must be updated to v3.1 or v3.1a -
not sure - please check.

I bought the DVD version published by Ubisoft as recommended in the FAQ for gameplay without CD.

Hi Ronzito if you only just got the DVD then you need to contact support and provide your order # and details and we'll look into it. See end of FAQ for info.

Hi!
Just received the DVD but after the installation starts copying files I see "The source file is corrupted" errors.
The DVD seems OK and I made a backup of all files without an issue, so it seems that the problem is somewhere else.

Can anyone hint me on what to do now?

Have you read the FAQ for known errors and install? See here:

http://overflandersfields.com/FAQ.htm

It's a lot of info, but your problem may be known.
