I gave this to myself as a Father's Day present and am a little disappointed with too much crap just doesn't work. but hey, for $29 what the heck. And, I didn't really spend any time reading all the comments so I have only myself to blame.

However, the tank action in the one armor mission I tried was pretty good. But I'm a little rusty on controlling tanks and formations in this engine. WTF are the instructions or users guide? I have a steam version so no paper copy. is there on buried somewhere?

any good SP armor focused missions laying around?

remember, in the campaign screen you can hit cntrol and plus key on the numpad and type in campaign, and it will unlock all the missions in the campaign list your at, then select the mission you want to play, a couple armor related ones in there.

Also, and you guys may already be aware of this: You can go into muliplayer and set your connection to LAN, then connect and accesss all the MP missions and play them Offline aginst the AI. Make sure you pick only the missions listed with (AI). Under Poland Stazow you can play the Skirmish "TDM 24 Tank Battle and under Poland Baranow "Tanks Assault on Otoka Grabinska."

Most importantly though you can actually insert tanks into any of these missions by hitting the "Parameter" button and this will bring up just about any option you want. Scroll down the parameter list and you can choose how many tanks, type of tank, enemy usage of tanks, and set the level of enemy difficulty. This feature is much more extensive than what you find in ARMA2 MP parameter and it's like having your own instant mission editor.

At the start of each mission just explore around to find where the tanks are located, then when you find one just jump in and away you go. If you add enough tanks, each mission can last quite awhile. I'm also enjoying all the AI MP missions playing solo against the AI as is. If you set the difficulty level for the AI high enough you will get all the fight you want. So far, I've found about 20 missions that I think are great to play. Under Ukraine Ivachev "The Road into Ivachev" is a favorite, it's a small unit action at a crossroads, where you start in a wheatfield. Under Poland Baranow "Windmaill of Skopanie" there is a Panther tank already available in the mission. The same goes for a Panther included in Target Vistula."

I played the Bagration44 mission from the Russian side. Good stuff! I started getting the controls sorted and and ordering the other tanks around. Basically give orders to the commander...
Thanks Mag and trek for pointers for mission access. That's the kind of stuff you cant find without allot of digging, or good friends wink

That wouldn't work for me, but left SHIFT and numpad '-' (minus) then type campaign worked.

So in the top campaign menu you hit left SHIFT and numpad '-' and a box pops up to type campaign in? I've tried it in several places in the campaign menu and nothing happens. Is that something that also worked in ARMA as well. is there documentation on it?

Thanks

nothing will pop up... it will just unlock all the missions.

After you pick the campaign where you see the mission list, should be start or intro as the first mission, when you unlock them, they all will be listed.

Dang, can't wait to go home and watch that!

-Why'd you remove the training video? I'd really like to know how to create a mission.
