104th_Moa's Rampant Bear DCS A-10C mission -

Roki tunnel is a tough place to target. The valley is steep. Air defenses cover the northwestern routes out of Tbilisi. If Blue can close the Roki Tunnel the Red forces cannot continue to threaten Tbilisi.

It is late in the mission and most of the Red forces attacking Tbilisi are defeated. Fools to think they could overcome the A-10C assets.

Red is desperado. Foolishly, armor continues to transit through the Roki Tunnel. We have had enough.


Tasking goes out to Wrecking Crew and tomcat to pop that Roki tunnel entrance. WC is in the area to provide targeting while tc is loading the ILS GBUs needed for the target in the steep valley. Both pilots head upstairs, figuring that 24,000 feet will avoid the local BUK and drop the bomb in between the peaks. Just need to stay south of the SA-10 out of the Beslan area.


Roki tunnel is acquired and the targeting data is transmitted over SADL.

Awesome, thanks for taking those pics WC! First time I've been in an AAR, and probably up there with the most fun sessions I've had in A-10C. One month from today is my birthday so I should be TrackIRing soon after. Exciting!!!
