X-1 "Flying Bucket"

The X-1 "Flying Bucket". An aerodynamic atrocity with a failed and pathetic launch debut. Crew recovery was successful. All three astronauts resigned upon extraction from capsule however.

But the program will go on as Mr. Kerbal Von Braun assures that we will have a successful launch in no time at all. Operation Paper Weight afforded the program with the best Kerbal scientists available. In a statement today by the director of KASA(Kerbals Are Sad Astronauts) Mr. Kerberklin said "Our Kerbals are better than their Kerbals".

So what will become of the Kerbal space program? Only time will tell. But will time be willing to tell what what does become of the program if time is able to tell what happens with the space program? In time we might just see if time will tell or will be willing to tell for that matter what happens next.

I keep seeing the vids here of what seems to be an awesome game. Is there any kind of authentication requirement/online activation? Previous versions seemed to be DRM free, which would make it an instant Buy.

At the moment the game is in alpha. as far as i can tell, there is no DRM. It will ask to send your IP address occasionaly to the devs, thats it.

As for it having a DRM at final stages, well that has not been determined (or i am not aware of). There is a free version of the game, its an early version. There is no DRM and you can use it as long as you like. Its a good start to get a feel for the game, hoewever the game is quite changed since then. Version 0.16 will be released not too far away and will incorporate a basic version of EVA's to allow your kerbals to explore the environment.

You can donate to give yourself access to the game development or for the small sum of USD $15, this allows you to get the full version for free when done. For me the game is already worth 15 dollars, so its good value for the finished product.

Updates are happening regularly and there is a very large modding community already making great extra bits to craft.

Well you have to give those kerbals points for trying. Extending the one remaining landing gear after the "incident" and casually retracting it when landed.

Nice.

Don't swear at me ;-)

Its a quality programme for quality devices. Not a fashion item for a global conspiracy corporation. exitstageleft

But in all seriousness. I am unsure as to the abilities of the Ipad, but KSP has a lot of physics calculations going on and I have my doubts that the gaypad (i) neaner would be able to handle it. If not now, definitely would have problems in the future with what i can tell from dev inputs.

Though I could be wrong of course, i just don't know the I(spy)pad.

As a comparison. My rig is quite old now, but runs DCS BS1 (not bought 2) and whilst it runs ksp ok, larger constructions on the launchpad does have a significant FPS hit. I can see that i may need an upgrade somewhere down the future for this game as it develops (still in alpha)
