Today I came to work to find the Saudi Arrows, the Saudi aerobatic display team, lined up on the remote GA ramp, and I managed to grab a few pics before they flew off again. Those going to Waddington air show next week will be seeing them perform their routine, for the others, here's a sneak peek at a display team we don't get to see very often over here :
The 737 behind the Hawks also belongs to the Saudi Royal Family. Behind it was a Saudi Air Force C-130 (you can see the tip of the fin in the far background), that either brought the technical support team for the Hawks or luggage for the VIP in the 737. Unfortunately there is no getting near these aircraft with a camera in hand without getting in trouble, so no pics.
That's what I've been able to snap with a pocket camera and without stepping out of the car.
Notice the AF ATR and BA Embraer in the background ? They're usually parked closer to the terminals, but today the Emir of Qatar's personal Airbus 340 was taking up the ATR's usual parking stands, and everyone had to shift around to accommodate the B*st/rd. Busy day
