- With the base sim you get the flyable SU25T that was previously in FC2 for free. It's on the DCS platform but it's a non-clickable cockpit but still features its advance flight model (compared to other FC2 aircraft).

- The base 'DCS World' is contained in the P-51 download (oh, actually it not just in a torrent now - cool). It's here:

- If you already own A10 or Black Shark 2 then in the future they will be made available as 'modules' to add back into the DCS world. It could be something like a download of just the A10 bits and then activating your key again.

Ah, I see. Thanks for explaining.
Appreciate it!
I only have Black Shark, but maybe gonna get me the P-51, that one looks sweet!!

My best regards, Kodiak.

I think there won't be FC3 in a traditional way, it wouldn't make sense to produce a separate product appart from the DCS World. I think (and hope) that FC3 will be a pack of (FC2) aircraft with some new features that you will be able to plug into DCS World sim after buying it.

Yes, it would. Basically, there's what you'd like to see done (which may not differ from what ED would like to see done), and then there's business.

Forgive me for being way being the times on this but I downloaded the free DCS World to fly around the Frogfoot and it is great but did they eliminate the area we used to fly around before? You know, the "Crimean Tour" area with the arch rock and other sights? I see the area on the west side of the map but no more airports or details?

Yes, the crimea area has been removed. There is more terrain to the east instead.

Thanks for the info GrayGhost. It seems there was alot of fine work there that they just threw away? Wow....that shocks me. I liked that area.

Oh well.....onward and upward!

They removed it because they wanted to expand to the east, and the engine at the time could not handle that number of objects, IIRC.

Having flown over the Crimean since Flanker 2.0, I didn't mind the change in locales. I wouldn't #%&*$# if it came back, though.

I wouldn't mind having it back either.

As a consolation prize though, Nevada is on the way with EDGE ... and hopefuly plenty of EDGEd terrains in the future biggrin

A few more questions please.

1. I want to set my altimeter in the frogfoot to what tower says but there is no real altimeter window? I guess just set known field elevation?

2. Is there a wingman rejoin command? Nothing I see in the radio tree. I tried LWin Y to no effect. They always just seems to fly off to nowhere.

3. I order trail formation but they say roger and go echelon.

4. There is no radio switching in the frogfoot is there? I have to listen to all those other aircraft reporting attack runs? Anyway to change this as some of them get stuck in a loop.

Thanks.
