I hope somebody can help me with this one.
Long time ago I saw a science fiction movie about a guy on a BIG spaceship, with even some eco domes attached to the ship!
As far as I remember the man was the only person on the ship (I could be wrong though) together with two maintenance robots, a bit looking like a box with two short legs and feet. The robots walked on the outside of the ship doing some welding and other maintenance stuff. In the eco domes where lots of plantes, I think the ship was some sort of space ark.
I think the movie was from the early 80's or seventies.
I don't remember the story, but I believe that the ship blew up at the end, and I think one of the little robots lost his box-body and the feet with legs stayed attached to the spacehip (magnetic I think) wich made me kinda sad at that time
That's basicly all I remember about it.
Anybody has an idea what movie this could be?
I remembered the movie a while ago but am unable to find it. Would love to see it again.

I remember watching Silent Running for the first time on tv when I was about 8 years old and I felt very sad towards the end of the film because one of the two robots got damaged. Lol.

Well the other film I thought of was Walt Disney's Black Hole with BOB and VINCENT but not quite the same synopsis

I thought of Black Hole too. Been AGES since I saw that!

Never seen Silent Running - the IMDB reviews seem to suggest I should.

Been ages since I saw it but I thought there were 3 robots, Huey, Duey and Luey, and one was lost 'outside' in a meteor storm(?) and a second damaged in a moment of stupidity?

Might have misremembered of course.
