this is the second german plane I've flown that has this stupid rudder issue, the Ju87 being the first and now the 109 E3



It's tilted to the right causing the plane to veer in that direction the entire time I fly it, it's infuriating and pissing me off. There is no rudder trim control for this plane and in the JU87 when I trim the rudder so it's aligned properly it just veers even more aggressively to the left instead of the right.

Why is this like this?

I can't speak for the JU 87,but the 109's rudder was cantilevered to counteract engine torque. I think the idea was that when flown at cruise speeds, it would not need any rudder correction to maintain a steady course. Above or below that, it would need rudder input to fly straight and true.

Well I fly at high speed, 2300-2400 rpm and I still have to correct for the right hand turn.

Well naturally you do because the fin shape was for cruise speed. The trim tab on the rudder also was set for cruise speed.

Been a while, but from memory the 109 roll and yaw was pretty spot on at around 400kph, not hands off but pretty good! These were for the time high performance machines, the peak of aircraft development, I don't think they were ever meant to be flown hands off, it's not a Cessna!

Yes, as noted from the notes Slipball posted, there's a definite lack of rudder authority for the 109. Not only did it wear the pilots out with the skewed rudder, but it had a tremendous ability to really yaw the aircraft hard, which isn't modelled properly at the moment, but supposed to go in the next patch.
