My fastest lap so far which was on low fuel is a 49 flat. That's when I'm not torturing my tyres.

And the long straight heading into a hairpin may be a real nightmare for the start of the race. But I think that's why Doug picked this track rofl

High 49 with the default setup after 5 or 6 laps.
Finding that little extra speed won't be the biggest problem. Keeping it off the wall for over 30 laps will be much harder. driving

Norisring is like the road/street course version of Martinsville. biggrin

You'll easily run 48s then smile 49.4 here, beginning to reach my limits, I shouldn't be able to get a 48.

Honestly, I can't imagine a 30min race, with people everywhere, backmarkers fighting for a position when leaders are too ... We may see some tears ! biggrin

Yeah, one or to fast laps alone on a track like this is easy.

But add a few more cars and braking zone where you are still in a corner or straightening out will be hairy. When you have to adjust your braking while already on the limit end in a pile up.

Lets see how this will turn out. I'm sure it will be fun. smile

Yes, that's what it reminded me of, a small oval like Martinsville, only with a kink. The race will get interesting, and I pledge to stay on schedule, as we did on last sunday, as the Germany vs. Denmark match is coming up after it. smile

And amazingly, DRM really did run Norisring in the late 1970s.
Note the hairpin action at 5:10. wink

Big difference in the car technology over 3 years.
Shame we can't add rain like 1980! biggrin

DTM not DRM, but...
