I'm planning on getting involved but the past couple of MM's and TT's have been preoccupied. I'll be in soon.

I'm so busy with family life, that it's difficult to play on a scheduled event. I want the chance however to do so, if the opportunity arises. I've jumped into the server on multiple times since downloading the O.N.E package, but it's been a complete ghost town.

The time of the event is really tough for me.

I am going to try to get on to an evening or two here or there, but basically, it is too early in the evening for me, with family commitments.

I am trying for one of the nights next week though, and I think I have my install ready to go (was able to connect and fire up a mission).

Cheers!

On average we play from 8 to 10:30 eastern. Sometimes 3-4 people will make it past that barrier and we'll play a small mission or Invasion 'til 11-11:30 or so. If 8 is too early, it's fine to come in later. You may have to wait around until the mission ends, but just alt-tab out and carry on until then. As long as you can stay for the full length of one mission (usually about 20-30 minutes, very rarely 40-50), it's fine to join in after we've already started up til probably 9:30.

You know, we can always schedule a special Saturday Warfare get together again for the folks with time zone issues. Would give some of the new guys a chance to play with all of us on a weekend when staying up late/getting up early may not be that big of an issue.

The time to devote is a problem for all of us guys who work, have families, live in places where the time zones aren't friendly. I think the weekends might draw more folks. Saturdays would probably be best because some folks might go to church, eat brunch on Sunday morning, etc.

And I say this as a guy who has never played a MM or TT session ever. I have OA and the PMC expansion pack and just learned how to open the friggin backpack and take stuff out of it. Sad, right?

I'd be a hindrance in the organized matches, I even play it with a 360 controller. How sad is that?

I love SimHQ because even though some of us cannot make it to MM/TT all the time we are not looked down upon or not allowed to play.

Just a good bunch of people who say," Hey, you are always welcome when you can make it. Come'on in when you can and have a fun time.'

I downloaded SimHQ O.N.E about a week ago but just got around to installing it and the maps last night. I tried to find the SimHQ server to test it out but it wasn't coming up on a search. I also got a couple of error messages on starting the game (although the game does start). Hopefully I can get these problems sorted out before it's time to play.

I work almost every Monday night at the moment, so I'll be pretty much restricted to Thursday night games until my schedule changes (who knows when that will be).

I am looking forward to the first game though, the reason I got SimHQ O.N.E was because I've wanted to get some good ARMA games going for a long time now, but the number of different servers and mods was always enough to send me back to other games, and it's nice to have a server full of dedicated, non-idiots to play a standardized modset with.
