Not some fancy assault rifle, but I grabbed a Henry lever action .22 long rifle for my son and I to go plinking at the range with.
A pic I stole of the same model from the webs:

The great:
Rock solid action. This is going to last a really, really long time and fire without fail.
Grouping is as good as it gets at 150 yards - I'm inside a dime with open sights from kneeling supported position.
.22 LR is dirt cheap ammo.
The okay:
I need to adjust the sights. I'm firing low and left consistently and had to adjust my aim point by quite a bit. Adjusting them is a PITA and not user friendly.
It sure does get hot - fire too quickly and it warms up the foregrip quite a bit.
Learning proper technique for using a lever action without disrupting stance and sight takes time.
But what a honey of a rifle.
