Well, I was playing the Conquest Domination mode with 64 players. ar15 It's quite insane. No time to think, just move and shoot. I'll try some games with a saner amount of players later, hopefully I can live more than 20 seconds.

My brother was playing for the first time tonight. He said he didn't know the map well. He said he wanted to pull up the map but everytime he did he would end up dead. Pretty much move and shoot..move and shoot. No time for much else.

ya, I was SL for our afternoon games, and ever time I stopped to point at an objective to issue a squad order... I went dead, finally stopped doing that. wink

This is where that missing squad voip would be nice. Stupid DICE/EA.

actually in the console version we have squad VOIP and TEAM VOIP, lol... but you only get points if the SL points at an objective and issues the order.

My brother uses his xbox controller on the PC and has the LT mapped to what would be "Q" on my keyboard, he runs around tapping that button, so it reveals/spots everyone.

We also always create a private voice channel, which if we are on the same team, we make a separate squad, i use SQD Explosives, he uses Sqd Ammo, but the Voice communications works wonders, as the enemy gets mad when he knifes me, and I tell my brother that I was knifed, he turns around and obliterates the other guy and revives me. And he starts saying the chat box that we are cheating because there was no way my brother should have known where he is.

I hate having to tell teammates to stop camping and #%&*$# through the chat box, because I always get a nasty response.

I joined a 16 player server tonight and at least got out with a positive K/D ratio and round win.

Definitely insane though ... reminded me of my few hours playing CoD ... ZERO organization and guys running around like they were on crack.

I was still really happy with the squadsmanship though ... a lot of Assaulters were reviving me, and I them. I'm thinking the Assault class is the best way to go for this style of play, but some advice to Assaulters ... ALWAYS clear the area prior to reviving and provide cover afterwards. If the area is too hot, don't be a hero smile

As SkateZilla mentioned ... spotting enemies with the "Q" key goes a long way as well.

One of my main problems with CQ is that the BF3 hud falls short in a CQB environment. It’s great for the BATTLEFIELD but not so good for CLOSE QUARTERS!

On a positive note, REALLY nice looking and well designed maps!

All I can say is that I will be much happier when the next set of maps comes in August (or is that September?). Really wish they would have put a hard max limit on servers for those new maps and/or made them bigger. While it can be fun for about the first 4 maps played..it gets old really fast.

ya, I personally don't like this gameplay.... too COD for me... but the maps are great, tons of levels, entrances and exits. Will enjoy it with friends for a month.... at least I can finally, realistically use my shot guns and handguns. lol
