Question to anyone who's gone from a HDD to a SSD, did you notice an improvement in performance (in DCS: A-10)?

For me, definitely yes.
No more stutter when looking around, and less loading time made my sim life more comfortable.
I dont think it did boost fps though.

That is the sum total of improvement that you can expect. Aside from the stuttering issue don't expect any other improvements on ingame performance.

SSD is just faster load times and quicker access to files. Pixel pushing is still the work of GPU.

Personally, I didn't see a whole lot of difference going from a WD Black to an Agility 2.

SSDs in general and OCZs in particular have improved a wee bit in the past two years.

Load times in DCS, ROF and FSX felt much reduced when I changed to SSD. I did upgrade my whole PC at the time though,so by how much is difficult to say.
