Hey Ohmie, I've not been online much recently myself. There are too many bugs in this latest patch for my liking tbh. I've gone back to the retail patch myself and am playing through Heinkills missions while the next patch is sorted. I do think it will be sorted though.

+10 to the "I want to believe" comment though. (nothing personal against Heinkill obviously)

Wha? Of course I am a believer. I am a card carrying member of societies such as The Flat Earthers, The Sun Revolves Around The Earth, Gravity is Not A Law It's a Guideline, and Cliffs of Dover is a Game. Mock me not!

The duct tape and splint patch ain't very fun.

Whoa there, don't be going around trying to spread that kind of talk at the Yellow boards, The Bretheren will burn you to a Steak (intended ab-usage)

Yes, Clod is a game and tbh its greatest crime was failure to manage customers expectations as to what it really was from the start. From there the polarizattion of opinions has turned just about anything posted about it into a flamefest while in the world of people who actually play these games it has died a death. Maybe the developers can pull it out of the bag when they move on to Battle of Moscow but that is a horse I am not betting on or buying a stake in.

I'm still a believer but have to admit I just reinstalled 1946. I fly ClOD because it is visually stunning and works fine on my system. I do a lot of sight seeing and pattern work in my Emil. The potential with this sim is amazing and im prepared to wait for it to come to fruition, understanding it will take some or most of a decade. I was spoiled in that i came to Il2 in about 2005 and even then it didnt work as well as EAW but i saw the potential and 46/Hyperlobby delivered. On the other hand, however, for combat I am returning to 46 and downloading a billion skins cuz that is part of the fun. I'm also back to '46 cuz the Fw190 is a murderous bi7€h and I miss her wink

Well its good to hear about AI improvements again as its been a while since we last heard what was happening on that front. Last time they acted completely clueless as to what was wrong with the AI and asked us to tell them which was a bit disconcerting but they seem to of got the message now. Whether they can effectively do anything about it or not remains to be seen.

I haven't uninstalled CloD, but I certainly don't hold it in high regard as the game is arguably broken as a simulator still on several fronts. Even if the game does get fixed, will we ever see the mythical weather and dynamic cloud system? It really never will do the Battle of Britain justice if all these features remain missing in action.

One things for sure, I am in no hurry to buy the sequel. WW2 theatre or not, there are better flight simulators out there to support.

The fact that the forums are quite really makes no difference. Everyone is waiting to see if the patch fixes the stability, fps issues, and maybe even some game play issues. If the devs can fix the critical issues, everyone will be back in droves as they fix the rest of the gameplay issues. Or it will just die and people will migrate to whatever forums and sims that interest them.

It's dying now.. everytime we recieve an update, (I use that term loosely) they drive another nail in the coffin.
I'm pretty certain that people are at the stage where they want action and not words. I don't believe any of their misinformation anymore, and anyone I meet and talk to already believes that the game has lost it's appeal and they have already moved onto other things, some don't even bother to check for progress anymore.. sad, but true.
