Operation Red Dragon, made up of 38 single missions, comprises a fictional campaign set in 2020 in the western Pacific region when war breaks out between the People's Republic of China and the United States over Taiwan and control of the western Pacific. The missions are flown in the Ncape theatre. The Ncape map has been relabeled to represent portions of the region, including Taiwan and the eastern coastline of China. Cities, naval facilities, air bases and air defense systems have been located as best the sim allows.

The virtual squadron VFA-41 just completed this campaign, which began last November. Pilots who participated recieved a campaign ribbon, and free beer for life. (Okay, I made the last part up)

I have always wanted to write a China v USA naval air campaign for F18, but struggled with how to do it within the limits of the sim. After a years of research, this is what I put together.
