I'm enjoying it, but I've really only played co-op (same as I play Arma/Arma 2). Playing this with others is good times. I've picked up a few of the user-made missions and they are well done. Bugs are there, but not gamebreaking for me. No crashes (I don't have an uber system either) in Iron Front, mind I never had many probs with Arma 2 either. I have had to turn settings down during the blitz maps at Stasnow as it gets a bit laggy running a listen server and playing with mates. Good game imho, and good sim with lots of potential.

For singleplayer it is really disappointing unless you like to personally make your own SP missions all the time. You get 2 campaigns and maybe 1-2 REAL SP missions. I would have liked more SP missions included. It's obviously designed for multiplayer, which is fair enough.

Sh*t. Everyone...THANK YOU for your recommendations - I will be purchasing the game, since it does have mixed reviews...I am coming in with a neutral feeling - I love arma2...I love WW2 Games...a bit too much...

So I think the mix will be good...Lets hope CTD doesn't happen too much and hopefully the game patches are going to fix it.

See ya'll on the virtual battlefield soon!

Has it been patched to fix the major bugs yet? I plan on purchasing when that time arrives.

I got IF44 just to do multiplayer events. I like the slower aircraft, this engine works better with rotary aircraft. The armor combat seems ok, i have todo some tests on how different shells affect armor, and if angling a tank may deflect bullets/shells. Infantry combat is solid. I patched it to version 1.02, and it run good on my computer (intel q6700 + ati6870 + 4GB ram).
Furthermore i already have played Arma2, and know that AI (artificial intelligence) is broken, so if you into multiplay and PvP, then this game might appeal to you, if not then don't buy it. Well coop can be nice to, but then again be sure to team up and play nice.

In the end it' just a game, if you want realism, join a real army ;-). This is my opinion.

But i wil be playing saturdays, it wil be a lot of fun for sure.

Hard work, is what I'd say. Two hours playing and not fired a shot. Can't get through the tutorial because the prompts stop after the assault course, and in multiplayer no hint what I'm supposed to be doing or where I'm supposed to be going. Maybe it's me been ruined by the simplicity of Red Orchestra, but this is hard word in my book. If I was single and didn't have a family breathing down my neck to spend time with them, then maybe I'd have time to put it together, but two hours and still not a shot fired in anger...

The next patch should fix alot of issues hopefully. Most of the severe issues seem to be due to engine bugs that Bohemia has to fix for the Iron Front team. We'll just have to wait and see.
