Yep, true. Scrap the Lanc then. So, what bomber would you have for BOB? Halifax? Wellington? Hampden? Blenheim? Or Beaufighter?

That's a choice! Properly for the Bomber Command job during the BoB it would have to be Blenheim, Battle, Wellington, Hampden or Whitley. The principle BC BoB missions were raids against the assembled barges, air bases, fuel supplies, aircraft factories. I believe it is a fact that more BC aircrew were killed than fighter aircrew in the battle, but the contribution of Bomber Command, like that of the Navy is very often forgotten. http://battleofbritainblog.com/unsung-heroes/bomber-command-and-its-part-in-the-battle/

Yep, it would be nice to see any one or all of those flying again. It was a pity the BBMF did not invite privately owned British WWII aircraft involved in the fly past. That would have made the Queen smile.
What ever happened to BOB Day?

God, that thing is horrible! Needs a nose job, proper Merlin fitted, and a decent coat of Dark Green, Dark Earth and Sky.

I have to admit that I watched more of the jubilee on BBC America then my work allowed. The empire is belessed to have had such a monarch for so long.

Hi HarryR.
Looks OK I suppose, but the roundels look wrong?
I just hate those late mark Spits, like your PR machine.
