Birds of Steel has a new (2 plane) pack, and a new map pack, (1 map... English Channel... with 5 missions and usuable in the editor.) on Xbox Marketplace.

I've played nothing else since I bought it.

And the P-47 rocks, proper b'n'z machine that dives like a lead balloon. Love it.

This DLC adds two famous air battles on Eastern Front, Stalingrad Battle and Korsun Pocket. It adds 3 layout for Mission Editor, 3 full Dynamic Campaigns, 7 historical based single missions and 3 Versus maps.

Battle of Brittain was a thrill. Some of the Stalingrad stuff is good too. I want to delve into the DLC stuff more but I am still stuck in the drudgery of using multiplayer to build XP. Man that gets old!

You can get xp in the dynamic campaign scenarios. No idea why you don't in the regular campaign.

I'm reviving an old thread just to dissipate some of the enthusiasm I still have for this game. I have not played anything else on my Xbox (except a little Minecraft) since Birds of Steel released. I don't know why I get such a big kick out of it. Maybe my brain is rebelling against the long periods of planning and execution needed to be successful with DCS or Rise of Flight. Maybe I just like flying in my living room. But what I really think it is is the simple joy of flying with a standard controller and no TrackIR. I read that and it sounds like I'm a plant from Gaijin, the game's creator. Nope, just a fan who feels he has gotten more than his money's worth.

I still want to get it.
