29 Jul 1917.

Bit of a cock-up today, Slept in till 12 noon then up and at them. I was assigned to an Escort Flight. Our 2 pups departed with a barrowed
Harry Tate ( RE 8) to get a picture of a Hun Airfield.

Passing over the lines. The flight spotted some N-17s from ESC 3 working on a Hun Balloon. I say, Good Sport.
