Thx. Just bumped fans to 80%. Temp idle at desktop is hovering btwn 50-56C, this is with 0% activity, GPU clock at 940MHz and Memory clock at 1375MHz. Temps hit 74C when playing Skyrim.
Maybe I should try spacing the cards further apart if I can do so?

are those screen grabs taken while on the desktop or when your in a game?
if your running eyefinity the primary card will Run higher MHz than with 1 screen, 2nd GPU always idles at 250Mhz on the desktop if it doesnt shut off completely.
What's the Temperature Readouts of the GPUs while your Playing Battlefield 3?

i think Booting HWInfo in sensors mode will give you a better scope.
The only reason the 2nd card would run 250Mhz in 3d Mode is if its overheating and throttling back. which would cause severe stuttering and crashes,

Those screens are taken at desktop, not while gaming. Temps of 74C or so are while playing Skyrim HWiNFO6 sensor mode shots while in desktop and not gaming:

you top unit (Card #0) is definitely overheating,
nearly 70^C for the shader section of the GPU on the desktop.... I bet its above 80^C less than 5 minutes into BF3.
Top units usually run hotter, but not 20^C hotter.
Could be a HSF/TIM issue with the Manufacturing, or an airflow issue, but with fans on 80% its more likely the HSF/TIM.
