Right, I'm pretty sure that according to the western designation, none of those are less than MERAD smile

Hi, Hpasp..

I have a question about The Hungary practice.... Is it possible to add 3D AAR for the training mode missiles?
I think it could be nice addition, because it is like an mission editor and therefore we could do some tricky stuff there. yep
How about that?

Hpasp, what ever happened to the simulation of the ZSU-23-4 Shilka? Was your access to documentation denied?

Also, Vintorez, thanks a lot for your manual on the SA-2. Just to be clear on the tracking modes in real life, RS is manual tracking by the FCO, AS is manual tracking by the manual trackers, and AS-AP is autotracking, all modes can track with or without a real target on the scope to track, for instance, if I shut down my radar in AS-AP after initiating a lock, then the system would continue to track based off of the computer?

ZSU-23-4 is something that does not require extensive infrastructure support, in contrast of what we have now -- Given the amount of soviet equipments available around some hot spots, it would not be impossible for a band of terrorists to get their hand on one, hide it near the runway threshold of some airport, and do something high-profile...Or at least we'd get pounced all over by media, lawyers and intelligence agencies before this, should there be a ZSU-23-4 sim accurate to the switch.

So, as Hpasp said, SAM Simulator will not be a terrorist trainer.

Really? Is that the real reason? C'mon, SAMsim is a procedure trainer, nobody can expect to control a ZSU only with that.

It would be a interesting addition, rather than Nike-Hercules.

Regards!

I have now tried to acquire F-14 in Prairie Fire as close to SAM as possible. I was in a distance acquiring process in 55kHz mode when the formation of two F-14 turned away. Target mark at first began to switch up and down when very close targets in formation turned and finally they flew away on the screen to the left lower part.

Simulation looks good, Hpasp did a good work :-)
