Don't know if this has been posted here before

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/product7/torchships-real-3-d-space-combat

TorchShips is a 3-D tactical space combat game based on real physics with procedurally generated single and multi-player missions. It will be released for Windows & Mac first, and then later for the iPad.

Looks interesting.

Thanks for the link, just signed up! Fingers crossed that the devleopment goes well.

I really like the idea of a "realsistic" space combat game, I really enjoyed I-Wars and hope this one takes off ( no pun intended wink )

Just put in $10, neat idea and I do love newtonian game play. If you guys hadn't seen it, "Babylon 5 I Found Her" http://ifhgame.ru/main/ifhhome B5 story line and universe with it's mostly newtonian space combat.

With only a week to go I have my doubts that they will reach the target, which is a failry modest target to begin with, so I'm a bit dispapointed. Looking at their kickstarter comments page it seems they've only just gone to some of the more popular "real" sci fi forums that might get more interest. But with only a week left it may be too late.

I really hope some last minute big donations come in as the more I have read about the project the more I want it!

Fingers crossed.
