Nice beercheers
Very good guide and quite helpful.
But, after reading, I just miss some How to.

Setting Hud to SOI use coolie up, or U on the keyboard, or in my case a key programmed to a cougar throttle key
Setting the left TAD as SOI use the coolie hat long left or H on the keyboard.
Setting the right DSMS as SOI use the coolie hat long right or K on the keyboard.

Info like keyboard layout or HOTAS functions does not give that info.

Thanks for sharing.

Do you have any help for a keyboard command to start the engine?
I got the anti-collision strobe to flash and the tower tells me its ok to start,
but I don't get a windowed message in the upper left of the screen.
The keyboard command for engine start does nothing.

I have a Saitek X-52 Hotas help

I noticed that some key commands in the audio tutorials have changed in the default key list.

Now that is unnecessary.

Great job, Ice!

I'd like to put in a request for Programming your TiVo and Coffee Maker: An Idiot's Guide to the CDU.

I can't make heads or tails of it in the manual because the green on black displays don't translate well to the printed page, and when I'm in the plane I don't know what is or isn't there. I may just have to put the PDF on my Kindle and read the section that way, but then I'm looking at smaller print on a technically dense topic, which can be a bad combination for anything except insomnia.

Ironically, I used the same CDU when I was operational, though it was nonstandard in the aircraft (therefore no NATOPS) and wasn't an integrated system, so I never used it for anything other than a GPS position fix.

The average Naval Aviator, despite the sometimes swaggering exterior, is very much capable of such feelings as love, affection, intimacy, and caring.
These feelings just don't involve anyone else.
