Is it possible that you have file extenders turned off for recognised file types so that what I see displayed as "DirSetPicker.exe" you see displayed as "DirSetPicker"?
What happens if you run "DSPBasic.exe" in a new folder?
Try to make a screen dump like I have done so that you can post a pictures here showing your folder content like I did for this:

Do not worry about the screen dump but please do this test for me:

1. Make a new folder
2. Put the DSPBasic.exe in it



3. Run the DSPBasic.exe and let it extract the files to the new folder.

This is what I see:



There are three things in my case, and their names are

DirSets
DirSetPicker.exe
DSPBasic.exe

So how many things do you see and what are their names?

OK I got your email and the pic.





Well I can see the DirSetPicker.exe in your folder, and also the old 1.2 eaw exe which will not run with 1.28E and should be removed.


Otherwise it looks the way it should do.
I added a bit of text to your pic.

Run the DirSetPicker, and when its little widow appears double click on ETO01 and exit.
Then run the eaw.exe, and it should work.
Just as a check though let me know what version it reports.
It is in the bottom left of the main screen.



Mine reads V1.28efix04

If you have this version then the planesets should be available when you click "Game Set-up"
