This game looks and sounds phenomenal. It is easily one of the prettiest gaming experiences ever made. I may consider the single-player to be bland and uninspiring and I may firmly believe that people are even bigger jackasses under the cover of the anonymity of the Internetz than they are in real life, but this is a pretty cool game. Which is why I bought it.

A lot of people knock the single-player, but it has some nice set pieces that take advantage of the larger map size. I loved the paratrooper assault and metro chase.

I just played a few rounds of Rush this evening and if you've got some people who will work together, you can have some really wild-ass gunfights. I lost most of them, but it was still a hoot because there's this giant firefight in front of you unfolding and it's a melee' from Hell and you don't care if you're winning or losing, you're just blowing the living hell out of anything you can.

I think the support and assault roles are my favorites because I can actually jack up my scores by tossing med packs and ammo and then healing anyone in my path.

Yep - a medic that knows what they are doing can rack up the points really quick. I personally think BF3 is pretty balanced, in that the unlocks are just something to do and the base kit you get is pretty fair and even. They spent a fair amount of time making sure that endorphins/reward bit fiddles with your brain nicely too, as you get goodies fairly quickly and it's fun to play around with the classes as you rank up.

It's a really good looking game as well smile

It's definitely the best of the action shooters out there, in my opinion. (I play on the Xbox though)
