Well I chopped his head off, that usually does the trick.
Yes, don't get clever with me Baldrick. I just thought you might have lopped off a leg or something by mistake.
No, the thing I chopped off had a nose.

Can't blame you. My girl is watching alone now as I reclused into my computer room. the only thing which will make Germany win this one ids divine intervention and besides, I can hear the neighbours yelling at the screen. So I wouldn't miss a German goal anyway.

LOL! I have a neighbor who does the same thing during Miami Dolphins and Miami Heat games. The peoples of different nations are a lot more similar than we think they are. wink

*shrugs* Possibly, I suppose in Italy they just yelled a bit louder when Balotelli scored, compared to a situation in Germany when Klose scores.

I'm really disappointed. The curse strikes again, and if I were one of the Italians on the pitch after the 90 minutes I'd laugh my a** off towards these gullible Germans.

So true...

Some comments hot as they come, unfiltered.

1)just hahaha and biggrin

2)Festung Italien holds well, bring'em on I say...
There's still plenty where we come from.

3)that was offered free from Italian Univerity of Football, courtesy of Deacon Prandelli, with Balotelli as teacher.
Pirlo and Cassano are the name of the teacher support instructors.

Thank you, thank you.

smile

And now off to sleep on the couch...

Congrats Italy, deserved win.

We didn`t make our goals, (which was possible), two perfect counter-attacks broke the spirit of the team, which was the biggest dissapointment.

And coach, why the hell Podolski?

Congratulations Italy, and commiserations to Germany. I was rooting for 'Gli Azzurri' this time around. Nothing against our German friends though, I often support the team that inevitably knocks out England (and have supported Germany on many other occasions as a neutral).....but to be quite frank, it seemed that many German fans this time around (not on SimHQ, well....maybe apart from one poster, hehe) I felt were being very overconfident, and it was getting on my nerves a wee bit lol. *ducks small arms fire* smile Just being honest. Best policy....according to me Mother. yep

It seemed that some thought it was 'destined' that they would sweep aside everyone easily. Naaaah. Jurgen Klinsmann has been commenting on the tournament for the BBC, and he was very dismissive of Italy.....to the point of arrogance tbh, thinking a German victory was more or less a forgone conclusion. Only a fool would be dismissive of Italy or underestimate them. He looked shell shocked at half time and could barely speak.

Italy 'mullered' Germany, and should have easily had 5 goals. Some of the finishing (Balotelli aside obviously) was woeful. Germany had some good chances too, but it was nowhere near as close as 2-1, they were tearing Germany apart at will at times; despite not playing as well as against England in terms of ball retention (finishing was poor then too). I was surprised though that Italy looked nervous early on in defence and a bit shaky, usually cool as cucumbers. Picked it up later though.

You've got to hand it to Italy, I have an immense amount of respect for how they always seem to dig deep and produce the goods, even when they are not a "fancied" team, they just keep marching on. That is usually a German trait too, and to their credit Germany kept battling and never gave up, despite being well outplayed overall. Germany are still a good side though (better than England atm for sure), and a semi final is still a bloody good achievement. Can't win em all.

Will be an interesting final. smile
