The penalty was fully correct, the keeper very obviously tripped the player as he had passed the keeper. Even if it was by mistake it is a penalty and red card. He obstructed a clear goal situation as the last defender.

Well played by the Russians. They were clearly the stronger team in this match.

And the fun continues tomorrow with the first matches in the 'group of death' with the Netherlands vs Denmark and Germany vs Portugal.

Slightly dissapointed from Poland, don`t know what what happened to them in the second half.

Russia was stronger than expected, my tip was 2:0.

Well, if you don't use your numerous chances you don't have to wonder if the opponent uses his far fewer ones. Hence 1 for Denmark, 0 for the Netherlands so far and I assume in the halftime-break the dutch coach will give a certain pep-talk to his players.
