I've been looking around the web since posting this topic and it looks like I have nothing to worry about. The one I'm getting is the "GLH" (goes like hell) version which is slightly overclocked or something. Gives an average of 3-4 FPS better framerates with games. Not a lot, but I'll take anything extra. biggrin

I was thinking about an upgrade too with tax return money...

I currently have a 9800 GTX, which coupled to my 3.6 Ghz Quadcore CPU and 4 GB of RAM is still actually performing her duties exceptionally well...

What would be a 150$ Video card that would give me a reasonable boost?

If you can wait for a sale, the GTX 560tis tend to go for $160 or so. I've seen the 560ti 448 go for $180 new on sale. These are down clocked GTX 570s. Personally I would wait and see what Nvidia brings to the $200-250 level this generation.

I'm still using a GTX 470. A-10C, SF2, BF3, and Skyrim all run really well and look great.
