I have just started delving into this game again , yes because of the dayz mod..but i am working through the offline tutorials in OA as well. I would like to get up to speed for ArmaIII. Looks great but i get intermittent pauses in game and a few total freezes which require me to alt tab to desktop and close the game. In dayz mod mode i get the pauses but no freezing.

i5 @ 3.33, gt560ti 1 gb. 4gb win32.

Latest drivers installed, no junk runs in the backround. i keep my rig running pretty lean.

What should i be looking at to use as a base for settings ?

My character somehow got all twisted up. I was playing the mission where you have to infiltrate the Golden Glow Estate and do multiple things. When I was out burning beehives and fighting I just eventually ran away to view my success from a distance. I first noticed it when I squated down on a tree trunk. Coot..the squatter../simHQ/2011

When I was still running an nvidia card I did endless searching on this. Couples of things I found to change in the nvidia control panel..

1. Turn 'max pre-rendered frames' to 8
2. Turn PhsyX to CPU only
3. Turn V-sync off
