The ratings dropped. Apparently fewer people wanted to watch it on Friday by itself after a 2 hr block of wrestling!
SFC had it good years ago with SF Fridays. Every week was 3-4 scripted shows back-to-back. For awhile they had First Wave, Invisible Man, Farscape, a couple of other long-gone shows. Then came the Stargate/BSG block that worked great. But then the masters at SFC decided to break it up and put shows on other nights because, hey, SFC can challenge CBS and ABC, right?

Just another good cable channel adding more stupid reality shows. Makes me not really miss paying for cable. All the good shows and documentaries can be found on Netflix at least.

SyFy's reality shows are about as real as Operation Repo..... its Fake Fake Fake... but mindless WWE fans dont know the difference.

I always have to remind myself to blame the viewers and not blame SyFy. After all, SyFy is a business first and foremost so making programs that give them the largest ROI possible makes perfect sense.
If the viewers didn't care for things like wrestling and reality shows and instead demanded intelligent sci-fi space dramas and other related shows then the current situation would be different.

I blame both. There was a time when SFC wasn't a part of the "ambulance chaser" group of networks.
As for the viewers, if I was king I would hook up a device that would kill people when they turned on a reality show. Then people would stop watching and the story-based scripted shows could make a comeback.

Shifting a show's time slot to compete with network programming is dumb.
SyFy is only on Cable/Dish and is regional.. its not OTA so it cannot compete with the Numbers the OTA Channels get.

Apparently Amanda Tapping was pretty pissed and shocked over the cancellation. I watch the intro for SG-1 all the time Amanda's eyes are incredibly beautiful. I liken them to Cher and Lady Gaga in the video "Poker Face". Terry
