Most of the good ones are already mentioned, but these were faves of my youth.

Rex Trailer was a children's tv host in the Boston area. It was a wild west show in your living room - complete with cartoons and prizes! He hosted various events for kids, raised money for charities, and overall entertained a generation of children. It's difficult to really express how much a part of 'Boston' Rex Trailer was. He's a local celebrity of sorts.

Not that I expect anyone to watch this, but I viewed the first minute or two of this clip and I was shocked at how the boyhood celebrity changed..... Just wow.

EDIT: Awww, the theme songs too cool. Love the horns!

Oh yeah, and Space Ghost! And Thundarr the Barbarian, but that was later on closer to the 80's.

Saw the Banana Splits mentioned and it reminded me of DANGER ISLAND! It was a episodic show placed between bits from the Banana Splits characters. Yup. That's Jan Michael Vincent - the future pilot of one Air Wolf.

Yup, had to go round to my Gran's house to watch it tho as we couldn't get the comercial channel (Scottish TV) it was on and she could, we could only get BBC.

Also Thunderbirds, Supercar, Captain Scarlet, Joe 90, Stingray, and not forgetting UFO all by Gerry & Sylvia Anderson I even have their theme tunes on my ipod biggrin

Bananna Splits was my favorite, but I really watched it for The Flashing Blade (Le chevalier Tempęte) a French series dubbed into English. Recently I found the DVD of the complete series of The Flashing Blade and enjoyed watching it from begining to end, many episodes I had never seen before.

And as a kid I lost my heart to "Julia" from White Horses another European production dubbed into English

Oh Yeah! Very fond memories of XL5.
I remember my elder Sister saying that a new show was going to be on TV and getting all excited about it.
Happy days smile

Banana Splits was also something I enjoyed watching.
I remember Danger Island but for the life of me can't remember what it was about now!
I just watched that snippet of it posted and it looked a bit crazy!

Also this ftw....
